Positive values indicate that soil moisture is above the long-term average GS condition for the period 2000-2019, while negative values indicate that soil moisture is below the long-term average condition. Soil moisture anomalies during GS are derived from 10-days\u2019 time series of the Soil Moisture Index (SMI, ranging between 0 and 1), which is computed by normalizing the current local soil moisture conditions between the respective wilting point and the field capacity. The 10-day soil moisture anomaly values are expressed by zero mean (regarded as the long-term (i.e. 1995-2019) normal condition) and unit variance. Because the anomalies are in units of standard deviation from the long-term mean, they can be used to compare soil moisture deficits for any geographic location.\n\nThe dataset consists of a collection of yearly soil moisture anomalies values over the vegetation GS for the period 2000-2019. Yearly start and end of GS is defined according to the EEA Phenology Indicator.", "summary": "The dataset addresses average soil moisture anomalies during the vegetation growing season (GS) period", "title": "Growing_Season_Soil_Moisture_Anomalies__2000_2019", "tags": [ "soil" ], "type": "Map Service", "typeKeywords": [ "Data", "Service", "Map Service", "ArcGIS Server" ], "thumbnail": "thumbnail/thumbnail.png", "url": "", "extent": [ [ -50.2696243891161, 25.2337310419576 ], [ 73.2681307874551, 72.7657546103346 ] ], "spatialReference": "WGS_1984_Web_Mercator_Auxiliary_Sphere", "accessInformation": "", "licenseInfo": "" }
